Sara and David
Sara and David live in the village of Five Islands, Maine, located on the beautiful island of Georgetown. Some of our favorite activities are hiking, boating and exploring the world around us.
David loves to build and fix everything he can get his hands on. Fishing is a good substitute when there is nothing to fix. (Which isn’t often!)
Sara loves plants, gardening, birds, interior decorating and anything Art!
Our Story
David is a Mainer through and through. He grew up in Five Islands and built his own house here. His family lives close by and we are lucky to be able to spend time with them all, including with his two grandchildren.
Sara is a citizen of the world – born in Boston and has lived all over the United States and in Europe. Most of her family are located in New England – close enough to visit regularly. She particularly loves spending time on the island of St. Croix, where her three grandchildren live.

The Unseen Work – David
David has an uncanny ability to look at a piece of live edge wood and know what it should be. He spends countless hours cutting, planeing, sanding and finishing.
The Unseen Work – Sara
Sara is a born forager. Whether it is rocks, shells, twigs, grasses or mushrooms she is always collecting, drying, sorting and organizing, knowing it can all be used to create art!
Working Together
It takes both abilities to create the items we have available through Five Islands Epoxy Art. Our work is a blend of woodworking and art not often found in other products.
